The Jungle--the name for the outfield at East Carolina baseball games-- started at the Pirates' former home Harrington Field and now continues at beautiful new Clark LeClair Stadium. Pirate fans get on the opposing outfielders and give East Carolina one of the best atmospheres in all of college baseball. Some might say the Jungle is not a place, but rather a mentality.
Former East Carolina baseball coach Keith LeClair battled Lou Gehrig's Disease (ALS) for nearly five years before being called home by God to spend eternity in Heaven on July 17, 2006. Keith was a tremendous coach, but an even more amazing person.
