This was the first 747 passenger flight from Bournemouth Airport, UK, destination New York. Bournemouth has a short runway so this was an incredibly dramatic take off for the 747. Listen for a guy in the background saying "its not gunna make it!" and "Jesus christ!"

For certification purposes, Boeing 777 made this test to show that it can stop safely at maximum thrust, by the end of the runway, taxi for 5 minutes (the time needed for the firetrucks to reach the plane) and not catch fire from the great heat produced from the disk brakes. Very educative, enjoy. http://aviation-vide os.blogspot.com/

A Bird hit our A319 after take off from Gib (You can hear the vibrations when the engine is hit by the bird at sec 47). Afterwards the engine has been shut down and we have been diverted for an emergency landing with only one running engine in Malaga. Have fun all went well and the crew aboard was very professional.

Most aircraft use about two-thirds of the runway to take off. This is an Ilyushin IL76 freight aircraft taking off fully laden for an 11 hour flight, warm day, no wind....... oh and look, no runway left either!
