Although I was not able to skate at the Derby All-Night Skate with my Rollersdays, Derby and Leeds buddies, I was, nevertheless, able to skate down here in London at the same time as them. We had a great Easter skatewise at Vauxhall. Check this out. Most of us are in our 40's too.
Choreographed by Lorraine Roberts. My Granny Cam caught up with the Roller Disco Playas during rehearsals. Yeah, yeah, I'm sneaky. Good job too - otherwise you guys'd never get to see these routines ;) Still, at least this time round, I wasn't sitting in front of the speakers and my zoom button didn't get stuck, so you get to see this superb routine clearly. Enjoy.
Blimey - Granny's at it again. I've put together the original few wheel on the floor moves (as shown on Quadskating.com) and have added several new ones. That'll keep you busy for a while. Happy skating.
In contrast to the grapevine type moves video. I've put together some of the clips previously filmed for Quadskating.com together in a short series and added some music.
If this doesn't get you roller dancing - nothing will ;)
Enjoy.
I had a lovely skate at Hyde Park on Sunday 12th October 2008. I was fortunate enough to have met up with Alex who came all the way from Switzerland to skate in London with us. The dude's got mad skills - check him out.
Here's a Gran's eye view of the skaters and the people at Serpentine Road, Hyde Park, London filmed on Sunday 8th April 2007. I was there from 11.30 until 7.30 - what a blast. The sun was shining, the music was excellent and I had my skates on - it just doesn't get any better than that. Enjoy!
Everyone seems to be on a front toe move tip here these days. So I caught up with some Masters and Learners of the art. Watching this video should give you an idea of how it's done. Enjoy.
Well, I finally got to take the boys to the park again. I was so impressed with how Kelsen is coming along, skate-wise, that I felt compelled to comit his current skating skills to video for posterity.
These clips were filmed as part of my instructional videos for Quadskating.com but appear in a different format as singular clips on there. I've added some music and arranged the groupings differently as the skating moves themselves are pretty similar to execute.
Have a go at 'em and enjoy tying your legs in knots ;) Happy skating. X's Granny
Quite simply - what goes on at Roller Disco, London. I filmed this at the tail end of last year - dedicated to all my roller skating friends out there and those I've yet to meet. Enjoy.
I had to do this. House dance in the park on skates. I'm looking forward to filming more of us as the weeks go by. Meanwhile, sit back, relax, grab a coffee and enjoy Uprock Dennis and yours truly making complete tits of ourselves on your P.C.
The Granny Cam and I were at it again down in Hyde Park on Sunday 15th April 2007. The start of this video reminded me of Roll Bounce The Movie. The street practice bit. You don't have to look very far for inspiration. Just keep doing what you're all doing guys. Huge props to you all. Enjoy.
New Year, New P.C. and New Granny Cam. New Software, Broken Monitor and learning on the fly. Am I still skating - silly question, is the Canvas DVD in production - hell yeah. In the meantime, here's this. . .
Here's what goes on at Roller Disco Canvas every week. I made this video featurette to showcase some of the wonderfully talented rollerskaters we have here in the UK and have dedicated it to them all. Enjoy.
