We've had a few more lessons and it's not so much of a rodeo anymore. In Lesson 15, we were able to move sheep about with "walk-up", "lie down", "come by" (flank clockwise) and "away to me" (flank counter clockwise). Mocean is stronger on away to me flanks - more confident. He slices on the come by - that's something for us to work on.
Mocean the 14-month-old border collie and I have, for the last couple of months, been learning to work sheep. Here we have another go. This day, they're "light" (fast and quick to take flight) and the weather is ominous. Mocean's muddy, but he and I are both having a great time. He does, I think some wonderful flanking moves to try to bring the flock back together whenever the rodeo starts...
