The Great or Saint Bavo Church stands on the Market Square, in the middle of the old city. It was built in a gothical style. The main characteristic is the enormous hight of the main building, which makes it an imposing landmark. Another important attraction is the Müller Organ, that Mozart played on.

Madurodam is opened all year round. The canal houses of Amsterdam, the Alkmaar cheese market and parts of the Delta Works, all replicated in minute detail on a 1:25 scale. All is set in beautiful gardens. Windmills turn, ships sail trough the harbour and trains are traversing the city on the world's largest miniature railway.
Magic Ice Zoo
This year, the exhibition hall at Madurodam is to host a complete animal kingdom in ice. Four sections will show animals from different parts of the world: the Netherlands, Africa, Asia and the North and South Pole. From a Dutch cow to naughty monkeys, from a wild rhino to an exotic panda. Children will also be able to slide down the neck of a giraffe.
