It was the hit of Estonia in the Summer of 1994, a light hearted pop song, called "Do You Speak English", about an American struggling to speak Estonian with local women. That American was Omaha native Douglas Wells, a young Peace Corps Volunteer in Estonia. Wells was a drummer in college bands, who had to change instruments and travel more than 4000 miles to score a hit.

Becca Silverstein is a Peace Corps Fellow at the University of Arizona. Becca served in the Peace Corps in a small village in Chad, 2005-2006. She taught English to students in the 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th grades, and led activities for the Girls' Club and the English Club. Becca is a graduate student in Language, Reading & Culture at The University of Arizona.
