Danyi N'Digbe is a small village near the town of Kpalimé in Southern Togo and is in a malarious area. The people live in extremely poor conditions without any protection from malaria.
500 nets were distributed in the village to achieve blanket coverage. There are 250 households and each received two nets.
This is an emergency distribution in the wake of Hurricane Felix of 3,500 nets to protect 7,000 people in the Sahsa area of RAAN.
Many parts of the RAAN are malaria endemic. The risk of widespread malaria in these communities has been significantly increased by the destruction wrought by Hurricane Felix.

The nets were distributed in Adeknino Parish in Dokolo District. Each of 16 villages received sufficient nets to protect all inhabitants.

The 3,500 nets will be distributed in Butula division of Busia district. 186 villages will be targeted. This is a malaria endemic area, with transmission of malaria being sustained throughout the year.
The poor, urban area of Kigali will receive 800 LLINs. These areas were selected because of the high endemicity of malaria, high poverty, high HIV prevalence and high anaemia.

Batouri is a health district located in the East province of Cameroon at the heart of the equatorial forest. This is a rural area with an aggregate of villages and pygmy settlements. 125,000 people live here of whom 22,500 are under fives.
2,220 nets will be distributed to all women and children under 15 in a close-to-blanket coverage in seven villages in Kitoikawononi and Tekwana Parishes in Kakoro sub-county. The villages are: Kadalach, Ladoto, Bugumba, Nalidi A and B, Tingori and Og
2,000 nets were distributed to vulnerable groups, principally children under 5 and pregnant mothers, in all villages in the 10 parishes of Namalu and Kakomomdole sub-counties in Naka Piripirit District.
An orphange, a school and a hospital on the outskirts of Kampala, all suffering badly from mosquitoes and malaria, are in desparate need of nets. 100 nets will be distributed to ensure all beds in the Nagalama hospital are covered, all beds in the Kikusa orphange are covered and children at the Kiro Kabowa Children's Centre receive nets.
Four parishes covering 19 villages in Kakoro sub-county will be the recipients of these nets. Nets will be distributed to all women and children under 15 in a close-to-blanket coverage.
