DARPA visited Team Victor Tango at Virginia Tech on June 29, 2007 to conduct the first round of qualifications (Site Visit). Our vehicle, Odin, completed all four of the missions that DARPA gave him flawlessly.
VictorTango gave a two day demonstration for Caterpillar Electronics in Peoria, IL. Caterpillar is sponsoring the team for its 2007 entry into the Urban Challenge
This project was developed as part of my master's thesis. We developed a remotely operated(teleoperate d) excavator for the Navy for use in clearing unexploded ordnance. They are still using it today at NSWC Dahlgren
This is our second run on B. We had a minor problem with a GPS outage, but after that the run was clean. DARPA was satisfied and we are clear to the final event!
This is our first and only run on section C at the DARPA Urban Challenge qualifying event. This is the end of the route where we are have already had to re-route twice to achieve this final checkpoint.
