Easy mod. On the E39, the driver door handle wouldn't come out due to the key cylinder. Instead of taking it apart, I just drilled the hole while the handle was secured to the door. There's enough room to do it.
Demo of CarX software running on MKII 4:3 navigation retrofit into a 96 740iL. For testing purposes it's plugged into the Video Module so the nav dial will input CarX and Video Module commands. On the real integration, the TV Menus will not come up since the Video Module will not be used to integrate the PC. It's a little difficult to navigate with the TV Menus popping up.

MKII nav, 4:3 screen, PIoneer 1280 12 Disc CDC, Pioneer GEX 920 XM Tuner, PIE Electronics I-bus interface. I took out my XM Roady and did this instead after the nav retrofit. The only thing is that there is no text display since the car thinks it's a CDC. Can't you tell I'm really sick? My trun is messy since I'm going to put in a Carputer.
