During a survey of Loch Ness I spotted this on the side scan sonar and jumped over the side to have a look. Anyone got any ideas what it's for? Anyone seen anything like it before?
This is the video of a wreck that I found in Ullswater. She's in excellent condition and as you can see by all the artifacts on her she has never been dived before.
This is the wreck of the Zambezi Class destroyer found in the Red Sea. It was commissioned into the Royal Navy in 1944 and served in Norway and in 1955 it was sold to Egypt and renamed El Qaher. It served in the Egyptian Navy until 1970 until it was sunk by Israeli jets in 1970.
When diving with West Wales Dive Center we dived the 168 feet coaster containing a cargo of calcium carbide. The Lucy ran aground in Jack Sound and later sank near North Haven on Valentines Day in 1967. Intact and upright in 40 metres (42m on spring tides) . There is a permanent buoy on the bow. Dive on slacks, which is 2.5 hours after Milford Haven or any time when the tide is 6 m or less.
