On my trip to the Philippines, the first city that I visited after Manila was Baguio. We left Manila on a hot, humid day ... sat on the runway sweating in the cabin of the YS-11 ... then finally got airborne and headed to Baguio. After ~45 minutes of flying, the mountains came up from the plains, and we landed on a mountain top airstrip. It was *much* cooler in baguio!
This is some video that I shot while staying in Baguio City for several days in May of 2006. It was an amazing city ... well worth the visit ... and I'm going back!
This is some footage that I took when we left the Oxford Suites in Makati heading for the Manila airport. You can see the Jeepney's, the motorcycle trikes, and even the Jollibee and McDonalds! We were flying to Baguio ... my next video.
I filmed this on my trip in 2000 to Windfall Harbor, on Admiralty Island, in Alaska. This was my third or fourth time visiting the bears, and it's a thrilling experience to see them this close.
