Scott and Trevor solved their bird problem and finally got all the pieces of the mining operation up and running. Scott's dumping ore into the plant with the hoe and Trevor's keeping things running smoothly. Will they find the motherlode?
I've watched my nephews freeriding for a few years now and always wondered what it would be like (I'm too old and brittle for this stuff!). Jeff strapped on the helmet cam and took me for a ride on one of the Copper Mountain trails they've built. Most of my other videos are sped up, but this is in real time. Hang on to your hat!
The MI-26 is currently working on the $2 billion NovaGold mine in Northern BC. It's able to lift 20,000 kg, more than any other helicopter! We caught it coming into one of the staging areas for this current megaproject.

Come on another short trip with Al - this time a 90 minute drive to Prince Rupert. But, Al's a quick driver, so you're actually there in less than 10 minutes!
Hang on to your hats...
Last year I recorded a 700 km journey from Terrace to Holloway Bar, near the Yukon border. Once I sped it up, the trip took only about 15 minutes. If you convert the speed, it works out to 2800km/hour (approx. 1750 miles per hour, or about Mach 3). Here's part 1 of two parts...
Both the pump and trommel are running, but Scott and Trevor have a problem - birds. What does a gold miner do when confronted with natural obstacles? Watch and see... Will they ever get gold mining?
