November 3, 2007, 11:30 AM. Away from the gang of camera crews at the Chatham Fish Pier, the landing Strong Island Road felt the full force of Hurricane Noel's winds. Billionaire Jay Cashman's house is seen in the distance, high on the bluff of Strong Island.
Saturday November 3, 11 AM and all the network camera crews are hunkered in their cozy vans behind the Chatham Fish Pier. Here's a view of what they were missing on the east side of the building. Winds were from the North northeast at 40 mph and expected to top 60 mph by the end of the day as the remnants of Hurricane Noel pass.

At the Selectman Candidates Forum, Democrat Len Sussman questions whether Chatham even wants a year-round economy, believing a poll should first be conducted.
Sussman goes on to say that more affordable housing should be built to attract hi-tech workers making $75,000 to $80,000 (despite their not being eligible due to their higher incomes).
